Transportation Director / Mechanic Opening

Sargent School District is now accepting applications for a Transportation Director / Mechanic.

This position oversees the district’s transportation program, including routes, bus safety, driver coordination, compliance, and fleet maintenance.

Salary:

  • Transportation Director Step 1: $37,771
  • Mechanic Pay: $25,000 annually

Facilities/Maintenance Director

Sargent School District is seeking a dedicated and dependable Facilities/Maintenance Director to lead the care and maintenance of our district’s buildings and grounds. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who enjoys solving problems, managing projects, and taking pride in creating safe, clean, and welcoming learning environments for students, staff, and our community.

      • Qualifications

        The ideal candidate will have:

        • Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
        • Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, construction, and general building maintenance.
        • Pesticide Applicator Certification, or the ability to obtain certification.
        • Experience with office and operations software.
        • A self-motivated, dependable, and results-oriented work ethic.
        • The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with others.
        • Experience supervising, assigning, and delegating work to custodial staff.
        • A commitment to following district policies and procedures.
        • A willingness to learn all district building systems and operations.
        • The ability to perform general maintenance and custodial duties as needed.
        • Availability to respond to facility needs outside of normal working hours when necessary.
        • Any other qualifications deemed appropriate by the district.

ShortTerm Cooks

Exciting Opportunity:
These positions are intended to support our district during a transition period and may lead to full-time employment with our incoming Food Service Management Company once operations are established.

Position Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals for students and staff.
  • Assist with food preparation, cooking, and serving.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen.
  • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Wash dishes and kitchen equipment as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff.
  • Perform other duties related to food service operations.

Qualifications

  • Food service or cooking experience is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Must successfully complete any required background checks.
