Our students recently had the opportunity to head out into the field and watch potato harvest in action with one of our local farmers! From seeing the equipment at work, learning about farm safety, and learning more about where our food comes from, it was a wonderful hands-on learning experience right here in our own community. They got to handpick their own bag of potatoes fresh dug from the dirt. And of course they had to look for heart shaped potatoes.

A special thank-you to one of our local farmers for welcoming us and sharing a little bit of the hard work, knowledge, and tradition that goes into putting food on our tables.
And, of course, a big shout-out to Mrs. Mattive’s Wonder Workshop for helping turn our local fields into an extension of the classroom!
