We’re celebrating another amazing Sargent student-athlete who will be continuing their sports career at the next level!

Class of 2026 senior Braxton Regester received a scholarship and signed with Lamar Community College’s rodeo team this week. He will compete in the team roping event and plans to major in equine business management.

Braxton has been an active member of the Sargent FFA Chapter for his entire high school career. He has competed as a member of the Horse Evaluation CDE and received several individual and team awards in this contest. Additionally, while in high school, Braxton has maintained several Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) Projects. He had two placement SAE’s in which he worked for Monte Vista Livestock Auction and Regester Cattle. He also had an entrepreneurship SAE in which he started and is running his own horse training business, Regester Horse Training. Additionally, he is in the top 3 heelers for NM High School Rodeo standings as he finishes out his senior year season. We are very excited to see him move into the next chapter of life and be able to continue to build and hone the knowledge and skills he’s gained while at Sargent High School!

Congrats, Braxton! We’re proud of you and can’t wait to see what’s next! 🖤💛🌾
