Several Sargent Secondary students in grades 7–12 recently earned the opportunity to compete at the 77th Colorado Science and Engineering Fair, held in Fort Collins. Under the guidance of their teachers, Rafe Paulson and Terri Paulson, these students achieved outstanding success at the state level, exemplifying Sargent’s commitment to academic excellence.

- Liam Griffin (10th grade)
• Colorado Chemistry Teachers’ Association Award — $150 - Tanner Houser (12th grade)
• 3rd Place, Physics — $75
• Little Shop of Physics Discovery Award — $50
• Will advance to compete at the International Science Fair - Kenley Mitchell (8th grade)
• 1st Place, Chemistry — $225
• Elmer Bernard Award for Best Scientific Writing — $75
• Air and Waste Management Award — $200
• Will attend the International Science Fair as a Junior Observer - Khaleesi Reynolds (7th grade)

Also representing Sargent Secondary at the state fair were Paisley VanDiver and Jacey Francis.
Both Rafe and Terri Paulson earned the honors of accompanying their students to Phoenix, Arizona, as their students compete at the International Science Fair.
